Trust
Security software data protection, in plain terms.
How GuardLanes protects your data, controls access, stays available, and respects officer privacy. Security SaaS compliance work is ongoing and we publish the status here.
Data protection
All traffic between the Officer App, the Dispatch Console, ClientView, and our servers uses TLS 1.2 or higher. Data at rest, including incident photos, video, and voice notes, is encrypted with AES-256.
Backups are encrypted and tested on a schedule. Regional data residency options let you choose where your data is stored to meet contract and regulatory requirements.
Access control
Role-based access with audit logs is built into every plan. Officers see their own deployments, supervisors see their sites, operators see their region, and clients see only their own posts.
Every sign-in, permission change, data export, and incident release is written to an immutable audit log that administrators can review and export. Enterprise plans add SSO (SAML/OIDC) with enforced MFA and automatic deprovisioning.
Availability
GuardLanes targets 99.95% monthly platform uptime. The Officer App is offline-first, so field operations continue during a connectivity or platform interruption and sync with original timestamps once service returns.
Enterprise agreements include a contractual uptime SLA with service credits. A public status page is linked from the footer when configured.
Privacy
Officer location is captured only during an active deployment: at check-in, checkpoint scans, and intervals you configure. Location is never collected between shifts.
You own your data. Full exports are available at any time, and data is deleted at the end of the retention period you choose. Our privacy notice describes what we collect on this website and in the product.
Responsible disclosure
We welcome reports from security researchers. Email security@guardlanes.com with a description of the issue and steps to reproduce. We acknowledge reports within two business days and do not pursue legal action against good-faith research.
Please do not access customer data, degrade the service, or disclose an issue publicly before we have had a reasonable opportunity to fix it.
Subprocessors
Third parties that process customer data on our behalf. We notify customers before adding a subprocessor.
