PostWatch: know every post is covered the moment it matters

PostWatch confirms arrival at each post, shows live presence on a coverage map, and flags late or missing officers to operators in seconds rather than hours.

Mock operator view of a coverage map. Six posts are shown on an abstract city grid with status chips. Five are on post or covered, one is late, and one officer moves from en route to on post.

Capabilities

What PostWatch does

  • Geofenced clock-in confirms arrival at the right post, not the parking lot across the street.
  • Coverage map shows every post with a status of On post, En route, Late, or Covered.
  • Arrival confirmation reaches operators in under 60 seconds by design.
  • Configurable grace periods per client contract before a post is marked Late.
  • Supervisor visits and welfare checks logged with location and timestamp.
  • Presence history retained per post for client reporting and disputes.

In practice

How teams use real-time security officer tracking

  1. Scenario 1

    The 06:00 handover

A day officer is held up in traffic. PostWatch marks the post Late at 06:05, the operator sees it immediately, and the night officer is asked to hold for 20 minutes with the extra time recorded for billing.

  2. Scenario 2

    Multi-site property portfolio

An operations director scans the coverage map for 46 office towers at the start of each shift. Three posts show En route. No calls are needed.

  3. Scenario 3

    Client asks for proof

A client disputes whether the loading dock was staffed last Thursday. The presence history for that post shows arrival at 21:58 and departure at 06:02, exported as a PDF in one click.

FAQ

PostWatch questions

How does PostWatch confirm arrival?

Officers check in from the Officer App. The app compares device location against a geofence drawn around the post. Arrival is confirmed only when the officer is inside the fence, and the confirmation is timestamped on the server.

What happens if an officer has no signal at the post?

The check-in is stored on the device with its original timestamp and location, then synced when connectivity returns. Operators see a pending state until the sync lands.

Can clients see the coverage map?

Clients see their own posts only, through ClientView. They never see other clients' sites or officer personal details beyond what you choose to share.

Does PostWatch track officers between shifts?

No. Location is captured only during an active deployment and only at check-in, checkpoint scans, and configured interval pings that you control.
