RouteProof: every patrol verified, every checkpoint on record
RouteProof turns a walk-through into evidence. Officers scan NFC tags or QR codes at each checkpoint, and every scan is timestamped, located, and retained.
Capabilities
What RouteProof does
- Build patrol routes with ordered or unordered checkpoints and expected durations.
- Mix NFC tags and QR codes on a single route depending on the environment.
- Attach a photo, note, or condition prompt to any checkpoint.
- Alert operators when a checkpoint is missed or a route runs long.
- Randomized route timing to avoid predictable patrol patterns.
- Patrol history exported per site, per route, or per officer for clients.
In practice
How teams use patrol verification software
- Scenario 1
Night rounds in a distribution center
An officer walks 14 checkpoints across the yard and warehouse. Two tags are in a radio dead zone; the scans sync 11 minutes later with original timestamps intact.
- Scenario 2
Replacing paper tour sheets
A regional security company retires its paper logs. Clients now receive a weekly patrol summary with every scan listed, and disputes about whether rounds happened drop to zero.
- Scenario 3
Condition checks on a route
A checkpoint at a mechanical room asks the officer to confirm the door is locked and to photograph the panel. The photo is attached to the scan and visible to the client.

FAQ
RouteProof questions
Should we use NFC tags or QR codes?
NFC tags resist weather, vandalism, and photocopying, and read in the dark. QR codes are cheaper, printable on site, and work on any phone with a camera. Many teams use NFC outdoors and QR indoors. RouteProof supports both on the same route.
Can an officer fake a checkpoint scan?
Each scan records the tag identity, device, location, and server time. A QR code photographed and scanned from elsewhere will carry a location that does not match the checkpoint, which RouteProof flags.
How do we get tags?
Any NTAG213 or NTAG215 NFC tag works. We provide a printable QR sheet per site and a recommended tag supplier list during onboarding.
What does the client see?
Clients see completed patrols, each checkpoint scan time, attached photos and notes, and any missed checkpoints, filtered to their own sites in ClientView.
