CredentialGuard: no expired license ever reaches a post
CredentialGuard tracks every officer license, certification, and site qualification, alerts before expiry, and prevents scheduling an officer whose credentials have lapsed.
Capabilities
What CredentialGuard does
- Credential types per jurisdiction with renewal lead times.
- Expiry alerts to officers and supervisors at 90, 60, 30, and 7 days.
- Site-specific qualifications such as armed, first aid, or client induction.
- ShiftLane blocks assignments that would place an unqualified officer on a post.
- Training records with certificates stored against the officer profile.
- Compliance reports per state, client, or credential type for audits.
In practice
How teams use security officer license tracking
- Scenario 1
Multi-state operation
A company operating in four states tracks four different licensing regimes. Each officer's profile shows which states they are cleared to work in.
- Scenario 2
Client induction requirement
A hospital requires a site induction before any officer works there. CredentialGuard records the induction and ShiftLane only offers the hospital's open shifts to inducted officers.
- Scenario 3
Audit day
A state regulator requests proof of licensing for every officer deployed in the last quarter. The compliance report is exported in under five minutes.
FAQ
CredentialGuard questions
Which credential types are supported?
Any. You define credential types with jurisdiction, validity period, and evidence requirements. Common state license types are provided as starting templates.
Can officers upload their own documents?
Yes. Officers upload renewals from the Officer App. A supervisor verifies the document before the credential is marked current.
What happens when a license expires?
The officer is blocked from new assignments on posts that require the credential. Existing deployments are flagged to the operator for reassignment.
Does CredentialGuard store training records?
Yes. Training courses, completion dates, and certificates are stored per officer and included in compliance reports.
