ShiftLane: fill every deployment before it becomes a gap
ShiftLane plans deployments across every post, broadcasts open shifts to qualified officers, and blocks assignments that would breach licensing or hours rules.
Capabilities
What ShiftLane does
- Plan deployments by post, client contract, and week with recurring patterns.
- Broadcast open shifts to officers who are qualified for the site and available.
- Officers submit availability and shift swaps from the Officer App.
- Overtime, rest-period, and maximum-hours rules enforced before publishing.
- Site-specific qualifications from CredentialGuard checked at assignment time.
- Publish schedules to officers with acknowledgement tracking.
In practice
How teams use security officer scheduling software
- Scenario 1
Friday afternoon call-out
An officer calls in sick for a Saturday night post. The operator broadcasts the open shift to 12 qualified officers. It is accepted in nine minutes.
- Scenario 2
Event surge staffing
A venue needs 180 officers for a single night. ShiftLane builds the deployment from templates, publishes it, and tracks who has acknowledged.
- Scenario 3
Staying inside hours rules
A scheduler tries to assign an officer to a third consecutive double. ShiftLane blocks the assignment and shows the rule that would be breached.
Works with
ShiftLane is one lane of nine.
FAQ
ShiftLane questions
Can officers pick up shifts themselves?
Yes. Open shifts are broadcast to officers who meet the site qualifications and have availability. The first to accept gets the shift unless you require operator approval.
Does ShiftLane handle recurring deployments?
Deployments can repeat weekly or follow a custom rotation. Changes to a pattern can apply to one date or all future dates.
How are overtime rules configured?
Rules are set per region and per client contract: maximum weekly hours, minimum rest between shifts, and consecutive-day limits. Violations are blocked or flagged according to your policy.
Can we import an existing roster?
Yes. During onboarding we import your current roster from CSV, including officers, posts, and recurring deployments.
