Officer App: everything an officer needs on one screen

The Officer App is where the shift happens. Clock-in, patrol routes, incident reports, schedules, and messages, all working offline and syncing when the signal returns.

In practice

How teams use security officer mobile app

  1. Scenario 1

    Basement patrol with no signal

An officer completes eight checkpoints in a parking structure with no coverage. The app stores every scan and syncs them with original timestamps when the officer returns to ground level.

  2. Scenario 2

    Picking up a shift

An officer receives an open-shift broadcast at 15:10, reviews the post details and pay rate, and accepts from the app in under a minute.

  3. Scenario 3

    Company-issued or personal devices

A company runs a mixed fleet. The app works identically on shared Android handsets and on officers' own iPhones, with no personal data stored beyond the session.

FAQ

Officer App questions

Which devices are supported?

iOS 16 or later and Android 10 or later. NFC scanning requires an NFC-capable device. QR scanning works on any device with a camera.

How much data does the app use?

Typically under 50 MB per month per officer excluding incident media. Photos are compressed before upload and video uploads can be restricted to Wi-Fi.

Does the app drain the battery?

Location is captured at check-in, checkpoint scans, and configurable intervals during a deployment only. A typical 12-hour shift uses less than 15% of battery on a modern device.

Can officers use personal phones?

Yes. The app stores no personal data beyond the active session and can be fully signed out at end of shift.
